This Privacy Policy describes how ALLOWIN SYSTEM ("GooseGolf," "we," "us") collects, uses, and shares personal information when you visit goosegolf.com (the "Site"), purchase our products, or use the GooseGolf mobile app (iOS and Android).
Who We Are
GooseGolf is operated by ALLOWIN SYSTEM, a French société à responsabilité limitée (SARL) with €7,622.45 share capital, SIREN 391 850 518, VAT FR30391850518. ALLOWIN SYSTEM is the data controller responsible for your personal information.
Our products and services are offered to customers in the United States, Canada, and the European Economic Area (EEA), including France. Depending on where you live, different privacy laws apply to you, including the EU and French General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), and Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA and, in Québec, Law 25). Your region-specific rights are described in the "Your Privacy Rights" section below. Because some of our service providers operate outside your country, your personal information may be transferred to and processed in France, the United States, Canada, and other countries (see "International Data Transfers").
1. Information We Collect on the Site
- Contact details: name, billing address, shipping address, phone number, email address.
- Payment information: processed securely by our payment provider (Shopify Payments, Stripe, PayPal). Full payment card numbers are never stored on our servers.
- Account information: usernames, passwords (hashed), preferences.
- Transaction information: items viewed, added to cart, purchased, returned.
- Communications: customer service inquiries and correspondence.
- Device information: IP address, browser type, device identifiers.
- Usage information: how you interact with the Site (via cookies, see the Cookies section below).
2. Information We Collect via the Mobile App (iOS and Android)
The GooseGolf app (iOS and Android) is a companion to GooseGolf physical golf training products and is available in the United States, Canada, and the European Economic Area, including France.
When you create and activate an account, we collect: email address, Firebase user ID, product activation code, activation timestamps, platform (iOS or Android).
To analyze your swing, the app uses your device camera to record video and, if you choose, lets you select an existing video from your device's photo library. By default, these videos and the resulting pose and analysis results are processed on your device and are not uploaded to our servers.
Coaching. If you choose to submit a swing for review by a human coach, the selected swing video and its pose and analysis data are uploaded to our cloud storage (Firebase, operated by Google) so that a coach can review and annotate it and send feedback back to you. We upload only the swings you choose to send; your other swings, practice history, and app preferences are not uploaded. How this data is shared, retained, and deleted is described in the Sharing, Account Deletion, and Data Retention sections below.
Aside from swings you submit to Coaching, device-local information (swing videos, pose and analysis results, practice history, app preferences) stays on your device and is not uploaded to GooseGolf servers.
3. How We Use Information
- Create and manage your account

- Verify a valid GooseGolf product code has been activated (app)
- Protect the product code system from misuse
- Provide the Coaching feature and deliver a coach's feedback on swings you submit
- Provide customer support
- Send order-related and support emails
- With your consent, send marketing emails (you can unsubscribe at any time)
- Prevent fraud and ensure security
- Comply with our legal obligations
We use Firebase for authentication, product activation, security, diagnostics, and Coaching storage. We do not use third-party advertising SDKs, cross-app tracking, or App Tracking Transparency.
4. Legal Bases for Processing (EEA, UK, and Switzerland)
If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we process your personal information only when we have a legal basis to do so:
- Performance of a contract: to create and manage your account, process and ship your orders, verify and protect product activation codes, provide the app and the Coaching feature you request, and provide customer support.
- Legitimate interests: to secure our Site and app, prevent fraud and product-code misuse, and maintain and improve our products and services, where these interests are not overridden by your rights.
- Consent: to send you marketing emails, to place non-essential cookies, to access your device camera and photo library in the app, and to upload and share a swing with a coach when you use Coaching. You can withdraw your consent at any time.
- Legal obligations: to comply with accounting, tax, and other legal requirements.
We do not use your personal information for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects. On-device swing analysis is not used to make decisions about you.
5. Sharing
We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for third-party advertising or cross-app tracking.
We may share limited information with service providers helping us operate the Site and app: Shopify (hosting, orders, payments), Firebase/Google (app authentication, activation, and Coaching storage), shipping carriers, and authorities if legally required.
When you submit a swing through Coaching, the swing video and its analysis are shared with the GooseGolf coach(es) assigned to review it, and with GooseGolf staff for support and moderation. Coaches are bound by confidentiality and may use your swing only to provide your feedback.
6. International Data Transfers
We are based in France, and some of our service providers operate in the United States, Canada, and other countries. As a result, your personal information may be transferred to and processed outside your country of residence, including outside the EEA. This includes swings you submit to Coaching, which are stored on cloud infrastructure that may be located in the United States.
When we transfer personal information out of the EEA, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission's adequacy decisions (for example, Canada benefits from an adequacy decision), the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses with our service providers. 7. Cookies
The Site uses cookies to function properly, measure traffic, and personalize your experience. You can manage your preferences via the cookie banner displayed on your first visit, or disable cookies in your browser settings. In the EEA and the United Kingdom, non-essential cookies are set only with your consent.
8. Your Privacy Rights
The rights available to you depend on where you live. To exercise any of the rights below, email info@thegoosegolf.com. We may need to verify your identity before responding.
8.1 European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland (GDPR)
If you are located in the EEA, the UK, or Switzerland, you have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Rectify inaccurate or incomplete personal information.
- Erase your personal information (the "right to be forgotten").
- Restrict or object to certain processing, including processing based on our legitimate interests, and object to direct marketing at any time.
- Data portability: receive your personal information in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format.
- Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing carried out before withdrawal.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. In France, this is the Commission Nationale de l'Informatique et des Libertés (CNIL), 3 Place de Fontenoy, TSA 80715, 75334 Paris Cedex 07, France (www.cnil.fr). You may also contact the authority in your own country of residence.
8.2 California (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), grants you the following rights:
- Right to Know: request the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected.
- Right to Delete: request that we delete personal information we collected from you.
- Right to Correct: request correction of inaccurate personal information.
- Right to Opt-Out of Sale or Sharing: we do not sell or share for cross-context behavioral advertising, but you have the right to opt out if our practices change.
- Right to Limit Use of Sensitive Personal Information.
- Right to Non-Discrimination for exercising these rights.
8.3 Canada (PIPEDA and Québec Law 25)
If you are located in Canada, you have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you and request information about how it is used and disclosed.
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete personal information.
- Withdraw consent to our use of your personal information, subject to legal or contractual limits.
You may also file a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (www.priv.gc.ca). Québec residents may contact the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec (www.cai.gouv.qc.ca).
9. Account Deletion and Local Data
You can initiate account deletion within the app (Profile → Account → Delete account) or by emailing info@thegoosegolf.com. Account deletion removes your Firebase Auth user, your users/{uid} document from Firestore, and the swings you submitted to Coaching from our cloud storage. After server deletion succeeds, the app removes local swing history and persisted videos from that device. You can also delete an individual Coaching submission at any time, which removes the associated video and data. Some limited activation and security records may be retained to prevent fraud, protect product codes, resolve disputes, or comply with legal obligations.
10. Data Retention
We retain account data while your account exists. Swings you submit to Coaching are retained for the duration of the coaching review and for a limited period afterwards so you can re-read past feedback, unless you delete them sooner. We may retain limited activation and security records after deletion where needed. Device-local swing data remains on your device until you delete it, delete your account from that device, or uninstall the app.
11. Children
GooseGolf is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 in the United States, under 14 in Québec (Canada), or under 16 in the European Economic Area (under 15 in France). If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact info@thegoosegolf.com and we will delete it.
12. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure.
13. Changes
We may update this policy as our Site and app evolve. We will update the "Last updated" date and, for material changes, provide additional notice where appropriate.
